NORTH OF ENGLAND TEMPERANCE LEAGUE

During the past fortnight a considerable number of scholars in West
Cumberland have received science temperance instruction from the school lecturer to the
above organization. Among the schools visited are those at Whitehaven (2),
Cockermouth (3), Egremont (2), Cleator Moor (2), Distington, Dyson, Parton (2),
Brigham, Greysouthern, Harrington (2) and Lowca. Mr Honidshaw's visits have
been heartily welcomed by the managers and teacher, and the greatest interest
has been shown by the scholars.
