GOLF SEASCALE MONTHLY BOGEY. Thirty-three competitors took out cards in the monthly Bogey on Saturday. Leading returns were as follows: G. W. D. WATHEN (plus1) 1 up. R. H. WILSON (9), all square L. S. HARTLEY (1) 1 down G. D. NEWBY (4), 1 down J. BRAGG (7) 2 down S. WILLETT (18) 2 down A. A. BARLOW (25) 2 down. ****** HOCKEY KESWICK SCHOOL v. BROOKFIELD (WIGTON) Keswick School Hockey Team played Brookfield (Wigton) Girls at Keswick School Playing Fields, on Saturday afternoon, and beat the visitors by two goals to one. The teams were level at halftime, each scoring one, and Keswick added one in the second half. For Keswich School R. HODGSON scored both goals, and for Brookfield, K. GIBSON scored. ****** BILLIARDS WEST CUMBERLAND JUNIOR CHAMPIONSHIP. "SCHOOL BOYS DOUBLE." S. HUMPHRIES, a 17 years old member of the Cleator Moor Conservative Club, and who is still attending school, defeated H. FITZSIMONS, of Whitehaven, in the final of the junior competition by 46. The lad won the "Third Team" championship some weeks ago. NO SENIOR EVENT. Only a few entries were received for the Amateur Championship and competition has been withdrawn. J. THOMPSON, Workington, has decided to defend his title. |
