    On Friday evening a whist drive and dance were held in the Church Rooms, on behalf of St. Michael's Sunday School trip fund. Mr. G. D. GREGG was M.C. for the drive.

    For the dance excellent music was supplied by the Lakeland Merrymakers. Messrs. H. PRITT and J. SPEAR were M.C.'s. A competition for a box of chocolates and a box of cigarettes were won by Mrs. Isabel HODGSON, Frizington and Mrs. A. McCREADIE, Penrith.
