MILLOM DEBATE

The Rev. W. H. BOOCOCK presided at a meeting of the Millom Wesleyan Young Peoples' Guild on Tuesday, when an interesting debate followed the reading of a paper, "Is the present generation vain?"

Mr. I. J. POSTLETHWAITE has been appointed hon. secretary to fill the vacancy caused by the resignation of Mr. W. HOGG.   


SOUTHERN DISTRICT BILLIARDS

Gosforth B team played Holmrook at Gosforth on Wednesday.  At billiards they lost by 12 points but Gosforth won at whist.
