TYSON, was blown into the harbour on Saturday morning, and was drowned; and a verdict of accidentally drowned" was returned at the inquest. Strange to say the lad never sank, and his newspapers were hardly touched by the water. ****** On the Furness Railway the alterations for June will not interfere with passengers to and from Whitehaven, principally confined to the Coniston and Windermere branches. There will be an extra train from Ravenglass to Eskdale Green and back each day on the Ravenglass and Eskdale line, and three trains will run each way on Sundays. There are no alterations on the Cleator and Workington Junction Railway. ****** A sale of work was held in the Presbyterian Sunday School on Thursday last, when there was a large display of useful and fancy articles, provided principally by the ladies sewing class. The Rev. M. YOUNG opened the sale. In the evening a concert was given, when the programme was sustained by Misses: EATON, MAIN, and GARDNER, Cleator moor B. M' ILWRAITH, R. CLARK, Mrs. YOUNG, Mr. T. JOHNSTON, Mr. J. ARCHIBALD and the choir conducted by Mr. E. YOUNG. The stallholders included: MRS. J. R. CLARK Miss. M'ILWRAITH Mrs. KENNEDY MAIN CRAIG Miss. DALRYMPLE Miss. CLARK Miss.
