Liverpool Corn Market Tuesday July 27th.- The weather up to Sunday evening was highly favourable to the growing crops of grain, but on that evening it set in to rain heavily, and continued with little intermission for upwards of four-and-twenty hours. This morning is fine again, and the barometer rising. The imports of Grain and Flour since last Tuesday are moderate, and the exports to Ireland and coastwise fair. The trade throughout the week as ruled dull, and in a few instances a small decline in prices has be submitted to. There was a good attendance of millers and dealers at our Corn-exchange this morning. The better qualities of Wheat and Flour commanded the full prices of last Tuesdays, with a fair demand for present consumption. Indian corn is scarce, and fine yellow in in request for immediate shipment to Ireland. There was a reeduction from this day se'night of 1d per bushel on Oats 6d. per load on Meal, 6d. 1s per qr. on Egyptian Beans, and fully 1s per qr. on Peas. |
