Special musical services were held in this place of worship on Sunday, good congregations being present. The preacher was Mr. J. R. GILBERTSON, Egremont, who gave very inspiring addresses.

In the afternoon the cleator Wesleyan Choir admirably rendered the cantata “Day of Rest.” Mr. Edward THOMPSON acted as conductor, and Mr. Stanley FORD was organist. Mr. GILBERTSON presided.

The solos, quartettes, duets &c., in the service of song were all taken by the Misses:

A. HUTCHINSON

Messrs:

The choruses were given in fine style, and altogether the singing was greatly appreciated.
