DRIGG. ____ After a holiday spent in the old country since about Christmas, Mr. I. H. PATTINSON, son of the late Mr. J. PATTINSON, Drigg, returned to Canada on Saturday last, per the White Star Liner, Laurentic, to Battleford, Saskatchewan, where he is farming with his brother Charles. On Friday last, their youngest sister, Emma, sailed from London, on the Ionic for Bluff, New Zealand. ******** DRIGG SCHOOL. ____ On Friday last the children attending Drigg School accompanied by the teachers and a few parents and friends, were given an afternoon’s enjoyment at Seascale. Tea was catered for by Mrs. BLACK, of Crescent, and thoroughly enjoyed by all present. Games of various kinds were held on the sands, and before going home hearty cheers were accorded the donors of the treat, the Rev. CANON and Mrs. PUGHE and Misses BARRATT. |
