MUSICAL SUCCESSES. ______ At the examination held by the Associated Board of the Royal Academy of Music during the present month in Whitehaven. Miss. TROUGHEAR, Gosforth was successful in passing the elementary division in pianoforte playing, and Master Herbert SELBY, Hensingham passed in the lower division. Both are pupils of Mr. George TOOTELL, F. R. C. O., the organist of St. James’ Whitehaven. Also the following pupil of Mr. R. H. BROOKS, A. R. C. O., organist and choirmaster, of Holy Trinity Church, were among the successful candidates: - Elementary: - May ADAM Marjory PEARSON Primary: - Mary S. MCKIBBIN Glagys REAY Muriel SHANKEY Jane E. WALKER Bernard SANKEY William DICKSON. |
