MORESBY PARISH COUNCIL.
_________

A meeting of the above Council was held in the council School, Moresby Parks, yesterday, Wednesday night. Present:

W. J. D. BURNYEAT

The Clerk read a further letter he had received from Mrs. DIXON, of Howgate, drawing attention to the smoke nuisance from the wash house chimney of the Parish property at Howgate, and after some discussion it was decided that nothing further could be added to the council’s previous letter on the subject.

Several tenders for putting the footpath leading to Ghyll Head into a proper state of repair were submitted by the Clerk, and ultimately it was decided to accept the tender of Mr. Thomas WADDINGTON, of Hensingham, the Clerk to inform him to have the work proceeded with forthwith.
