CLEATOR MOOR MAN KILLED IN SOUTH AFRICA. ______ The sad news reached Cleator Moor on Sunday morning of the death of Mr. Thos. BRANNEY as the result of an accident in the South African mines. No details were given beyond the fact that a fall of rock occurred and BRANNEY was removed to the hospital where he died shortly after admission. His brother, Arthur, who met with an accident a few weeks previously, is lying in the same hospital, and his condition is reported as serious. The unfortunate man who met his death had been in South Africa a few years. At Cleator Moor he was vert well-known and greatly respected. |
