LARGE CATCHES OF PRAWNS
AND SKATE.

 During the spell of fine weather, the Maryport fishermen have been bringing in very large hauls of fish.
 
 Mackerel and Maryport herring, however, are only scarce, but the catches of prawns and skate this week have been the largest for some months.
 
 On Wednesday all the boats brought in enormous quantities of prawns, while the catches of skate in the smaller boats were equally large.
