 A quoiting competition was held at the Commercial Inn, Holborn Hill, on Saturday last, for which there were 58 entries. The prizes were 30s and entrance money. The winners were:

3. J. JOHNSON, Lindal
 
4. J. BENSON, Askham
 
5. J. JOHNSON, Lindal
 
6. A. RIGG, Lindal
 
7. W. PICKTHALL, Askham
 
 Messrs. LONG and CLAMPITT acted as handicappers and referees.
