LOCAL MINISTER’S DEATH.
____

A MELANCHOLY COINCIDENCE.
____

The death occurred suddenly on Thursday - whilst undergoing an operation - of the Rev. Andrew Barnes HOLLIDAY, of Seaforth, Liverpool, second son of the late Mr. J. B. HOLLIDAY, of Langwathby (formerly of Islekirk, Wigton).

Deceased who was only 35 years of age, was taken ill after returning home from a holiday, and was only bedfast a week. He was well known in the Wigton District.

He married on August 9th, 1905, Miss. Violet WHITE, youngest daughter of the late Mrs. T. M’CALL WHITE, of Burnfoot House, Wigton, and it is a melancholy coincidence that his remains were interred on the 8th anniversary of his wedding (Saturday).

The Rev. A. B. HOLLIDAY formerly worked in an Edinburgh Mission, and afterwards at Liverpool in the Brunswick and Grove-street branches. He was a powerful and popular preacher, and his sudden death will be much lamented. Deceased had many friends in Cumberland, and a year or two ago conducted the Wesleyan School anniversary at Whitehaven.
