LICENSING APPLICATION AT WORKINGTON. ______ At the Workington Police Court, on Wednesday, Mr. J. WILSON applied for the transfer of the license of the Commercial Hotel, Workington, from Mr. J. P. MIEBACH, who had retired to private life, to Mr. Henry KNAGGS, of Harrogate and Boston Spa, Yorkshire. Mr. WILSON said the applicant had had considerable experience in the trade, having been six years licensee of the Royal Hotel, Boston Spa. Mr. KNAGGS bore an excellent character. The superintendent said everything was in order, and he had no objections to make. The Bench said the transfer was granted. |
