DRUNK ON LICENSED PREMISES. ________ Wm. RICHARDSON (50), collier, Main-street, Distington, was charged with having been drunk on the licensed premises of the Globe Hotel, Distington, ay eight p.m. on the 26th July. P. C. CASS said that the defendant was staggering in drink. The landlord was refusing to serve defendant when witness entered hotel. Defendant was fined 10s, or seven days’ imprisonment. ********* THROWING STONES. _________ Richard SCURR (18), collier, 3, West Row, Lowca, was charged with having thrown stones to the danger of the public on the highway at Lowca, at 8-20 p.m. on the 21st July. P. C. CAPSTICK said the defendant was throwing stones across the highway. Considerable damage was done by offences of this sort. Defendant admitted the offence. The chairman said there was nothing against the defendant. They would make him pay the costs, 7s 6d. |
