CHARGE OF ASSAULTING
A CONSTABLE.

 David HARDY, (21), collier, 8, Gores Buildings, Whitehaven, was charged with having assaulted P. C. MAHER whilst in the execution of his duty in the New Road, Whitehaven, at 9-5 p.m. on the 31st July.
 
 Supt. HOGG said in this case Mr. ATTER was appearing, and as he had business from home he wished the case to be adjourned for a week.
 
 The Bench granted the application.
