ASSAULT CASE ADJOURNED
_____

Moses JONES (33), labourer, 2, Kelswick Lane, Whitehaven, was charged with having assaulted John Robert BUCKLEE, insurance superintendent, Whitehaven, on the 2nd August.

Mr. W. H. CHAPMAN prosecuted, and Mr. ATTER defended, but intimated to the Court that his client was in the infirmary, and could not attend the Court.

Mr. ATTER’s Clerk had asked the doctor for a certificate, but the doctor could not give him one, as he could not really say what the illness was.

After some conversation the case was adjourned for a fortnight.
