Whitehaven Town Council.

A special meeting was held yesterday (Wednes-

day) afternoon, at which there were present:

Aldermen HASTWELL, KITCHIN, STODDART,

DIXON, BARR, JAMES, FISHER, BRAITHWAITE,

BATTY, BRAGG, PAITSON, and HUDDLESTON.

The only business before the meeting was the

appointment of overseers for the parish of White-

haven. The meeting unanimously appointed the

following parties:--J. WAUGH, T. TYSON, W. E.

CARR, and Geo. PROCTOR.
