WHITEHAVEN. --- MONDAY.

Thomas PARKER, 13, of Distington, was charged

with having stolen a pigeon belonging to Mr. D.

DICKINSON, of High Ghyll, Distington, on Friday

last. P. C. WILLIAMSON gave evidence, and a fine

of 5s. was imposed.

Richard TAYLOR, a weaver, no fixed abode, was

fined 5s, for hawking without a licence at Cleator

Moor on Saturday last.

John HARVEY, fitter, no fixed abode, was

sentenced to seven days' hard labour, for begging'

at Harrington on Friday last.
