ESKDALE.
A tea will probably be given to the children on Jubilee Day.
A concert in aid of the funds of the Glee Club was held at the Eskdale Green School on Friday night. There was only a poor attendance, but the dance that followed was well patronised.
A meeting of the committee of the Jubilee Club was held at the High School on Saturday to consider what should be the arrangements for the day, and although no definite conclusion has been come to as to where to hold the celebration, yet it was settled that sports, &c., should be held.
On Saturday the Eskdale Football Club will end their season, and it is expected all the members will be present for practice.
The Easter Holidays being over, nearly all the visitors have left the dale, in fact with the exception of two or three, they have all cleared out.
