PARTON CHURCH TEMPERANCE
BRASS BAND.

The members of the Parton Church Temperance Brass Band held a very successful Social on Friday night in the Boy’s School, Parton, the object not being only an evenings amusement, but an effort to raise money to purchase a new set of instruments, of which the band is much in need.
The music was supplied by the Parton String Band. Mr. P. DANZIE officiated as M.C. The arrangements were excellent and reflected great credit on the committee: -

Mr. James JACKSON varied the programme with several humorous songs, and Mr. j. SOUTHWARD and Mr. W. MURRAY with step dancing. At eleven o’clock an excellent supper was served by: -
