HARVEST FESTIVAL SERVICES
AT THE MILLOM WESLEYAN CHURCH.

The Wesleyan Church was neatly decorated for the harvest thanksgiving
services, which were held on Sunday last.

There was a time when the decorations were not deemed satisfactory
unless a sample of nearly every vegetable, &c., growing in the district was
brought into  service. The present decorators were not imbued with any such idea,
and their choice is to be recommended. They were content with choice flowers
and corn,  and with these the building was very artistically adorned. The
appearance presented by the interior of the church reflected much credit on the
decorators.

The sermons at both morning and evening services were preached by the
Rev. F. HILTON, there being very good congregations. Mr. OGLETHORPE presided
over a musical service in the afternoon, when selections were given by the
choir, solos by Mrs. TYSON and Mr. STEPHENSON, duet by Mrs. TYSON and Mrs. GENDLE,
and organ recital by Mr. Roland JOHNSTON.

An address on "The message of the flowers" was given by Mr.
BLOOMFIELD.
