DEATH OF MRS. POSTLETHWAITE
OF KIRKBY.


       We announce the death of Mrs. POSTLETHWAITE, wife of James
POSTLETHWAITE, retired registrar, Bank End House, Kirkby-in-Furness, which took place on
Friday, after a very long illness, extending about twenty years.

       The deceased was a native, and was known many years ago for her great
kindness and hospitality. The interment was made at the Church yard on Monday
afternoon, when many relatives and friends were present.

       The Rev. Mr. RABY conducted the service. Much sympathy has been shown
with Mr.  POSTLETHWAITE and family. The deceased was 69 years of age.
