MADAMOISELLE QUEBEC. The following jeu d'esprit appeared about a month ago, in one of the foreign gazettes. [ not in any of the French publications] "The genealogy of the present continental war is as followeth: -- England espoused Quebec, the captive daughter of France; from their union sprang the revolution of British America; the revolution of British America produced a wish for freedom in France; the wish for freedom begat licentiousness; licentiousness begat massacre; massacre begat republican frenzy; frenzy begat a war with England;  a war with England begat .......... the Lord knows what.......................... All these evils owe their beginning to the accursed, fascinating charms of MADAMOISELLE QUEBEC."
