Haltwhistle Floral Exhibition

HALTWHISTLE FLORAL EXHIBITION

The third annual show of this enterprising Society was held on Monday, the
17th ult., on the grounds of Mr. N. W. FORSTER.

The superior character of the various productions exhibited called forth the
expressions of surprise and applause from the most competent judges.

A beautiful design in flowers (from Featherstone Castle) and two baskets of
fruit (from Mr. George HADFIELD, and Mr. N. W. FORSTER of Haltwhistle) were
the chief attractions to the majority of visitors, but the true floral devotee
selected for his shrine the magnificent and exquisite specimens of cut
flowers.
