DECREASE OF EMIGRATION FROM  IRELAND.

An official return, just issued, shows that from the 1st  January to the 1st
September inst., the number of vessels which sailed from the  port of Limerick
to Quebec was but 10, and the number of emigrant passengers  1135.
 
During the same period in 1854 41 vessels left for the same  destination, and
the number of passengers was 5796, showing the striking  decrease this year
of no less than 4461.
