The Court resumed its sitting a ten o'clock.
AN UNNATURAL OFFENCE AT WORKINGTON
John GRAHAM (21), labourer, not instructed, was charged with committing
an unnatural offence at Workington, on the 3rd ult. - Mr DICKINSON
prosecuted, and Mr HENRY defended the prisoner. - The jury found the
prisoner guilty of an attempt to commit the crime charged. - The Judge,
with an expression of disgust, said the sentence of the Court was that
prisoner be imprisoned, and kept to hard labour for eighteen months.
