GAME. NOTICE - THE GAME on the Estate of INGLEWOOD, in the Parish of Great Salkeld, is strictly PRESERVED. All persons are therefore requested for the future to abstain from Trespassing thereon. __________________________________________________________________ NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that the Trustees of the Turnpike Road, under an Act passed in the Eleventh Year of the Reign of King George the Fourth, "For more effectually repairing the Road from Carlisle to Penrith, and from Penrith to Eamont Bridge, in the County of Cumberland," will MEET at the NISI PRIUS COURT HOUSE at CARLISLE, on SATURDAY, the Twenty-Seventh day of OCTOBER instant, at the hour of One o'Clock in the Afternoon, in order to consult about PLACING a CHAIN on the side of the said Turnpike Road, at or near a Place called HARRABY, across a certain Highway there leading to Upperby. Dated the Ninth day of October, One Thousand Eight Hundred and Fifty-five. BY virtue of a Precept under the Hands and Seals of the Reverend WILLIAM REES, Clerk, and JAMES FARISH, Esquire, Two of Her Majesty's Justices of the Peace for the said County, to the Sheriff of the said County directed..... Notice is hereby given, that the GENERAL QUARTER SESSIONS of the PEACE for the said County will be holden at CARLISLE in the said County, on TUESDAY, the 16th day of OCTOBER next, at the Hour of Ten o'Clock in the Forenoon of the same day, at which time and place all the Jurors, Coronors, Keepers of the Gaols and Houses of Correction, High Constables, and Bailiffs of Liberties within the said County, are personally to be and appear to do those things which shall be enjoined them, and which, by reason of their offices, shall be to be done. SHERWIN, Joiners, CARLISLE, are requested to forward the particulars thereof, without delay, to MR. J. R. DONALD, Solicitor, Carlisle, that a Dividend may be declared. __________________________________________________________________ RE MATTHEWS SELBY'S ASSIGNMENT. NOTICE is hereby Given, that MATTHEWS SELBY, of the City of Carlisle, and of Wigton, in the Parish of Wigton, in the County of Cumberland, BUTCHER, hath by an INDENTURE of CONVEYANCE and ASSIGNMENT, bearing date the 1st day of October instant, conveyed all his real Estate and Assigned al his personal Estate and Effects whatsoever and wheresoever unto JOHN HODGSON JEFFERSON, of Cunning-garth, Farmer, and JOHN REDMOND, of Spittal, Farmer, in trust for the equal benefit of all the Creditors of the said MATTHEWS SELBY, who shall execute the said Indenture of Conveyance and Assignment on or before the First day of JANUARY next, which said Indenture was executed by the said MATTHEWS SELBY and JOHN HODGSON JEFFERSON on the said 1st day of OCTOBER instant, in the presence of and attested by ANTHONY BERWICK WERE, aforesaid, Solicitor, and by the said JOHN REDMOND, in the presence of and attested by JOHN HADFIELD, Clerk to the said ANTHONY BERWICK WERE; and the said Indenture of Conveyance and Assignment is now lying at the Office of JOSEPH STUDHOLME and ANTHONY BERWICK WERE, of Wigton, aforesaid Solicitors for the inspection of and execution by the Creditors of the said MATTHEWS SELBY.
