The annual services in connection with this society took place on Sunday last, in the Congregational Chapel, Lowther-street.  The REV. W. A. WRIGLEY preached in the morning;  and the REV. J. H. PARKER, missionary from India in the evening.
 
A public meeting was held in the chapel on Monday evening.  The attendance was considerable.  The meeting was addressed by the REV. J. H. PARKER,  the REV. B. A. MARSHALL (incumbent of St. Cuthbert's),  the REV. J. ALLAN (Wesleyan minister),  the REV. W. BREWIS, Penrith,  and other gentlemen.
 
The speeches were listened to with much attention.  Collections in aid of the society's funds were made at the conclusion of the proceedings.
 
Services in connection with the Cumberland Association of Independent churches took place on Sunday and Wednesday evenings, when discourses were delivered by the REV. G. YOUNG,   the REV. H. SAUNDERS,  the REV. J. BLACK,  and the REV. T. HIND.
