MR. JOHN PALMBY, of Staindrop, Durham, horse dealer and miller, attended Brough Hill fair, and on his return, being unwell, remained at the Fleece inn until Sunday morning, whence he proceeded in his gig.
 
He reached Spittal, but not being able to proceed further, he was put to bed, and almost immediately expired.
 
He was 53 years of age, and would weigh upwards of 20 stone.
