LIVERPOOL, November 6

       The wind having prevailed from the westward for the last few days we
have received several fresh arrivals of Grain from Ireland, which has caused a
temporary depression in the demand  for Wheat, and prices barely supported.
Flour has also given way about 2s a pack. The oats which have come forward are
generally light and ill fed, but the best samples meet a ready demand for the
interior at an improvement of fully 2d per bushel. No imports of new meat.
Barley comes forward sparingly, and malting quantities are particularly sought
after.

       New shelled brings £16 per ton. Beans and peas are each a shade
dearer. Potatoes are almost unsaleable. No bacon or hams at market, Butter steady,
Our sugar market has been flat this week - of 1,000 casks offered only 800 were
sold, and prices are generally 1s per cwt cheaper. The demand for coffee is
limited and a shade lower. Nothing has occurred in rums. Tobacco is in steady
demand.
