The usual monthly meeting of this Board was held  yesterday, Mr. E. H. BANKS in the chair.  Mr. TWENTYMAN gave notice that at next meeting he would  propose that the Board should borrow the money necessary for street  improvements.  A recommendation of the Works Committee to have lamps  put up at Market-Hill and Union Street was adopted.  Mr. BENNETT, the resident engineer, submitted a report,  which stated that during the past month the sewerage works have made  satisfactory progress. _________________________________
