LORD DUFFERIN (By Telegraph) A Central News Telegram from Constantinople, yesterday says: - Lord DUFFERIN sails for Egypt in the Antelope this afternoon. He will have no previous audience of the Sultan. A request to postpone his departure was reiterated last night, but unsuccessfully. ********** FRANCE. (By Telegraph) M. DELRAIS will be nominated ambassador to Rome on Monday next. ********** IRELAND (By Telegraph) Mr. HARRIS, who was arrested on Wednesday at New Bridge, was released on bail last night. He is charged with intimidation. ********** THE IRISH PARLIMENTARY PARTY (By Telegraph) The Irish Parliamentary Party met yesterday afternoon and decided to vote against Mr. GIBSON’s amendment on cloture. The numbers voting were ten to ten, the motion for abstention being rejected by Mr. PARNELL’s casting vote. ********** LOUISE MICHEL (By Telegraph) A Central News telegram from Ghent, yesterday says: - Louise MICHEL arrived here yesterday, intending to speak at a meeting in the evening. On entering the hall, however, she was hissed and hooted. Great confusion ensued, and she was struck on the head with the leg of a table and retired. ********** A SECRET SOCIETY (By Telegraph) A Central News telegram from Poltava via the frontier says: - While about two hundred persons belonging to a Secret Society were there holding a meeting the police entered and arrested large numbers. Some escaped by the windows. The object of the society is unknown. ********** THE CLOSURE. (By Telegraph) Some Dean Forest Liberals have telegraphed to Colonel KINGSCOTE, M. P., urging that his vote on the Closure should be given for the Government proposal for a bare majority. ********** THE MINER’S AGITATION (By Telegraph) The proprietors of Wharncliffe and Woodmoor Collieries, Yorkshire, have refused to give ten per cent advance, and the men consequently struck work yesterday morning.
