THE KING OF SARDINA'S VISIT TO ENGLAND. HIS MAJESTY THE KING OF SARDINIA will take leave of the Imperial French Court this day, and travel via the Great Northern of France Railway to Calais, where the King is expected to arrive shortly before midnight. The QUEEN has given instructions for the Royal yacht 'Osborne' to be despatched to Calais Roads to-day, for the conveyance of his Majesty and suite to Dover. The 'Vivid and Fire Queen' will be in attendance on the Royal Yacht, and it is probably that, owing to the draught of water required by the larger vessel, the King will embark in the "Vivid" in the harbour, and proceed thence to the roads where the "Osborne" will be lying. The King will sleep on board the Royal yacht, and after partaking of an early breakfast, his Majesty will proceed by special train of the South-Eastern Railway to the Bricklayer's Arms station of that company, where his ROYAL HIGHNESS PRINCE ALBERT will be present to receive our illustrious ally. The royal procession will pass over Westminster-bridge up Parliament-street, Whitehall, Charing-cross, Pall-mall, St. James's-street, Piccadilly, Hyde-park, north side of the Serpentine, by Victoria-gate, to the Great Western Station. His Majesty and the Prince are expected to arrive at Windsor Castle at a quarter past two, and will be received by her Majesty at the grand entrance. A state dinner will take place at half-past seven. HIS EXCELLANCY THE MARQUIS D'AZEGLIO, Sardinian Minister at the Court of St. James's, will leave London to-day for Dover, to be in readiness to receive his Sovereign. LORD BYRON, who has returned from Paris, whither he was despatched to convey her Majesty's congratulations to the KING OF SARDINIA, will be the Lord in Waiting on his Majesty from his arrival at Dover until his departure from England. GENERAL THE HON. CHARLES GREY, and COLONEL THE HON. ALEXANDER HOOD have been appointed to act as Groom and Equerry in Waiting. These gentlemen will meet his Majesty at Dover, and accompany the Royal traveller to London. On Saturday the King will visit Woolwich. On Tuesday his Majesty will visit the City. On Wednesday there will be a chapter of the Order of the Garter, at Windsor, when his Majesty will be installed a Knight of the most noble order. On Thursday the King will take his departure. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ |
