DEATHS.

On Sunday, the 25th Nov., at Dunkenhalgh, Lancashire, the seat of his brother, LIEUT. OSWALD PETRE, late of the 6th Carbineers.  The deceased, who was in his 24th year of his age, was son of the late HENRY PETRE, Esq., and nephew of P. H. HOWARD, Esq.  A sun stroke, whilst he was on service in the Crimea, caused congestion of the brain, which, added to other severe indisposition, ended fatally, to the deep sorrow of all his family.

In Crosby Street, yesterday, after a lingering illness, MRS. JANE EGGLESTON, aged 62 years.

In Drovers Lane, on the 14th inst., MRS. JANE JACKSON, aged 75 years.

In Bridge-street, Caldewgate, on the 21st inst., SARAH STODDART, aged 73 years.
    same place, on the 24th inst., JOHN STODDART, aged 3 years.

In this city, on the 24th inst., MARY SARAH JENNINGS, eldest daughter of MR. CHARLES JENNINGS, late of Stepney, London, in the 15th year of her age.

In James Street, on the 11th inst., of scarlatina, JAMES, son of MR. JOHN LONG, aged 7 years.

In Union-street, on Sunday, the 18th inst., of scarlatina, SARAH DOUGLASS, aged 10 years.

At Faugh, near this city, on the 9th instant, CHRISTOPHER FISHER, yeoman, aged 78
    At the same place, on the 18th instant, ROBERT BATY, yeoman, aged 45.
Both much respected.

At the Metal Bridge, on the 22nd inst., MR. THOMAS BAXTER, inn-keeper and farmer, aged 53 years, - much respected by a large circle of friends and acquaintances.

At Cow Gill, on the 25th inst., of consumption, JANE, second daughter of MR. J. B. STALKER, aged 22 years, - her amiable disposition endeared her to all who knew her.

At Wigton, on the 16th inst., JANE, daughter of GEORGE EASTON, labourer, aged 6 years;
    on the same day, THOMAS, son of ISAAC HOPE, labourer, aged 6 years

    on the 28th, Isabella, DAUGHTER OF JOHN BROUGH, Nailor, AGED 5 YEARS

    and, on the same day, ELIZABETH, wife of CHARLES SMITH, weaver, aged 25 years.

At Wardrew House, Gilsland, on the 27th inst., WILLIAM, third son of the late SAMUEL DOBSON, of Horsley, in the county of Northumberland, aged 25 years, - deeply lamented by a large circle of friends.

At Eamont Bridge, on the 23rd inst., aged 54, MARY, the wife of MR. JOHN BIRD, and third daughter of the late MR. THOS. LAMB, of the same place.

At Greenside Lodge, Patterdale, on the 15th inst., THOMAS, son of MR. JAMES MATTHEWS, in his 21st year.

At Watermillock, Ullswater, on Friday morning week, MARY, wife of MR. JOHN HARRISON, yeoman.

At Alston, on the 26th instant, MRS. ELEANOR WALTON, aged 57 years.

At Maryport, on the 14th last, MR. DANIEL BROUGH, aged 75;
    on the 19th inst. MR. WM. SMITH, stone mason, aged 64

    on the 19th inst., MR. WM. MOORE, labourer, aged 29

    on the 22nd inst., MRS. ANN FERGUSON, aged 66

At the Union Workhouse, Cockermouth, on the 20th inst. MARK, son of CHRISTOPHER RAY, husbandman, aged 4 years.

At Portinscale, on the 19th inst., of consumption, MISS ELEANOR CASS, aged 22 years.

At Keswick, on the 16th instant, MR. WILLIAM BLACKLOCK, chaise driver, aged 50 years.

On Friday last, at St. Thomas Cross, near Egremont, MR. JOHN TYSON, stonemason, son of MR. JAMES TYSON, mason, aged 22 years.

On Thursday week, at Tarn How, in Gosforth, after a protracted illness, MR. PETER SHERWEN, aged 69 years.

On Saturday last, at Seascale, Gosforth, at the house of his grandfather, JOHN, infant son of Mr. JOHN DIXON, husbandman.

On Thursday week, at Hinningside, in Gosforth, ANN EILBECK, daughter of MRS. JANE EILBECK, aged 8 months.

On Saturday last, at New Town, Bootle, HANNAH, the wife of MR. JOHN ANDERSON, aged 75 years.

At Dalton, on the 10th instant, JANE, wife of GEORGE ADDISON, waller, aged 63 years.

At Outgate, near Hawkshead, on the 18th instant, MR. ROWLAND SCALES, aged 72 years.

At the Post-office, Ambleside, on the 17th instant, AGNES eldest daughter of the late MR. THOMAS NICHOLSON, aged 19.

At Rydal, on Thursday week, MR. .THOMAS HUCK, formerly footman to LADY le FLEMING, aged 75.

At Crosby Garrett, on the 20th inst., suddenly, MARTHA wife of THOMAS THWAITE, aged 19.

At Lonsdale Place, near Whitehaven, on the 22d inst., MARY widow of MR. ISAAC MOSSOP, spirit merchant, and beloved wife of MR. ANDREW BROTHERTON, contractor, aged 42 years.

    on the 18th instant, in Robinson Fold, Queen Street, MARY, relict of MR. JOHN JENKINSON, master mariner, aged 44 years.
