It is hardly necessary to remind readers that the opening of St. John’s Church Bazaar in the Edkin Street Drill Halls takes place on Wednesday and that it will be continued on Thursday and Friday. The object is to raise at least £1,500 for the restoration of the Church.
That it can be realized even in the bad times through which we are passing is, I am sure, possible, and since the public, outside the congregation, has not been asked for subscriptions, I shall be surprised if support of the efforts of St. John’s is not forthcoming in so generous a measure as to result in a sum considerably in excess of that mentioned above is being obtained.
