The Carlow Sentinel says that Ribbonism is extending in the province of
Leinster, and that the conspiracy exercises an appalling tyranny over the
well-disposed.   Districts which have long been peaceable and industrious
are now disturbed by travelling emissaries of the secret organization, who,
uner the name of "delegates" seduce young men into a confederacy, the main
features of which are outrage and murder.
