INSOLVENT COURT. Monday, November 13. - Before JOHN LAW, Esq., commissioner. The cases of the following parties were heard and adjudicated upon as follows: 1. ROBERT LITTLE (out of custody) did not appear. 2. ANN DALE, who was opposed by the detaining creditors, was ordered to be discharged at the expiration of three months from the date of the vesting order, (almost twelve days of which is unexpired) for a vexatious defence to an action. The insolvent's attorney's bill and the costs of opposition were ordered to be paid out of the proceeds realized by the sale of her effects. The remainder to be paid over to the insolvent for her maintenance. 3. MARY RUSSELL, opposed by the detaining creditor MR. STEEL, as clerk to the trustees of the roads, was ordered to be discharged on paying £8 into court. 4. STEPHEN RAYSON, unopposed, was ordered to be discharged forthwith. 5. ELEANOR RITSON, sister of the insolvent DALE, was opposed on the same grounds, and her case adjudicated upon in the same manner as No. 2. 6. JOHN BROUGH. This case was adjourned to the next court, on account of a vexatious defence to an action, and a voluntary preference to a creditor. It appeared that a mortgage had been granted for £120 and that the money was paid over to a creditor within three months before commitment. 7. DAVID NICHOLSON, unopposed, was ordered to be discharged forthwith, as was also..... 8. JOHN BLAYLOCK ROBINSON. 9. JOHN GRAHAM. This case was adjourned in consequence of a wrong description. 10. JOSEPH POSTLETHWAITE, unopposed, was ordered to be discharged forthwith, as was also..... 11. ABRAHAM YOUNG DEAN. :::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: |
