On the 9th inst., the second anniversary of the building of the Methodist Chapel here, was duly celebrated.

Sermons were preached in the afternoon and evening by the REVS. MESSRS. WELCH and J. PATTINSON, after whch collections were made on behalf of the Chapel Trust Fund, which amounted to the liberal contribution of £14.

In the interval, a tea party was entertained in the school-room connected with the chapel, at which one hundred and thirty persons were present.  The room was decorated in the most tasteful manner, and the arrangements reflected the greatest credit upon MISS TODHUNTER, under whose directions they were completed.

Not less than 243 yards of the wall were adorned with wreaths of ever-greens, as were also the eight pillars whch supported the room;  among these were interspersed a variety of the flowers at present in bloom;  and there were also a number of artificial flowers beautifully wrought in coloured cloth, &c., which must have cost a great deal of labour.

Several specimens of fruit trees and orange trees bearing fruit, &c., were also introduced;  and we doubt not, the occasion will be long remembered by the numerous party, composed of all religious denominations, who assembled round the festive board.
