PRIMITIVE METHODISTS
AT ELLENBOROUGH

 On Sunday last the Primitive Methodist Chapel anniversary was held at Ellenborough. The occasion was celebrated by holding special services.
 
 In the morning and evening Mr. Joseph JOHNSTONE, of Carlisle preached.; and in the afternoon the Rev. M. JOHNSTONE, of Cockermouth.
 
 A collection was made at the close of each service. On Monday evening a public tea was held, when the tables were presided over by ladies favourable to the cause of Primitive Methodism in Ellenborough.
 
 In the evening a public meeting took place, and was presided over by Peter MESSENGER, of Maryport. The meeting was addressed by the Circuit Ministers, the Revs. M. JOHNSTONE, Cockermouth and J. EASTWOOD, of Maryport.
