FORMATION OF A NATURALIST’S
FIELD CLUB.

 On Monday evening last a meeting for the purpose of establishing a branch of the Union Jack Field Club in Maryport was held in the Furnace Road School Room. There was a good attendance of youths of the town, and the chair was occupied by Mr. R. DARBY.
 
 It was agreed to establish a branch of the club, and the following officers were elected:
 
Mr. T. COLLISTER, president
 
Mr. D. THOMPSON, vice-president
 
Mr. R. DARBY, secretary
 
Mr. J. W. GOODALL, curator
 
Mr. J. VAUGHAN, assistant-curator
 
Mr. S. MAXWELL, treasurer
 
Mr. I. HARDING, chaplain
 
 Several propositions for the future working of the club were laid before the meeting and adopted.
