MARRIAGE OF A ST. BEES MAN IN FLORIDA.

The  "Twice a Week Sun" , of April 14th contains the following interesting report of the wedding of MR. JOSEPH CARLISLE RUSSELL, cousin to MR. BURNYEAT, of Millgrove, who served his articles with MR. T. BROWN (the Town Clerk of Whitehaven):

Gainesville has never witnessed a more elegant and beautiful wedding than the one which occurred at high noon Wednesday at Holy Trinity Church, when MISS FLORENCE MAY GILMOUR and MR. JOSEPH CARLISLE RUSSELL united their future destinies.

The wedding had been well planned, and every arrangement was successfully and charmingly executed.

MISS GILMOUR is a member of the St. Mary's Guild, and the young ladies of that organization, led by the directress, MRS. E. K. FOSTER, were present in a body, and by the expressed wish of the bride occupied an honoured position in the church.

Many minutes before the appointed time, the church was occupied to its utmost capacity.

The entering of MRS. GILMOUR into the church, accompanied by DR. SUTHERLAND, of London, betokened the coming of the bridal party, and all eyes were eagerly directed towards the entrance.

Presently, by the strains of Lohengrin's wedding march, beautifully executed by MRS. J. S. ARNOLD, the bridal party commenced the march up the aisle to meet the groom and RT. REV. E. G. WEED, Bishop of Florida, and VEN. C. C. LEMAN, rector of Holy Trinity Church, who were to perform the ceremony, and who entered from the vestry simultaneously with the bridal party.

The ushers were J. M. M'ARTHUR,   FRED DAVIS,   H. S. HAMPTON,  and  HORACE GIDDINGS.  The bridesmaids were MISS MINNA HAMPTON,   MISS CHRISTINE RICHARDS,   MISS REUBY PHILLIPS,   and   MISS NORA NORTON.

The bride looked charming as she entered the church leaning on the arm of her father.  She was becomingly attired in a fawn-coloured travelling dress, with white hat, and carried in her hand a bouquet of beautiful roses.

The groom's attendants were MR. HODGES, of England, and MR. HUGH MORROW, of this city.

The marriage service was impressively performed after which RT. REV. WEED, D.D., offered the usual prayer.

While the contracting parties were registering, MRS ARNOLD very beautifully rendered the Royal Marriage Hymn, by DR. CRESER, and as the bride and groom left the church, marching down the aisle, Mendelssohn's wedding march was played.

Previous to leaving for Jacksonville and St. Augustine on their wedding tour, the bridal party were driven to the residence of the bride's parents on Alachua Avenue, where the bridesmaids witnessed the cutting of the beautiful wedding cake.

The bride is the charming and accomplished daughter of REV. and MRS. GILMOUR, of England, and has a very large circle of admiring friends.

The groom is recently from England, and is a man of sterling worth and recognised integrity.

The happy pair received countless numbers of beautiful and costly wedding gifts, some of which came from England.

The people of Gainesville, and the friends of the newly-married couple elsewhere, will extend to them best wishes and hope for them a united life of happiness and prosperity.
