SUPPER AND SMOKING CONCERT AT DISTINGTON.
 
A supper and smoking concert was held at the Hope and Anchor Inn, on Friday night in connection with the Prospect Villa A.F.C.  A large number turned up, and a capital supper, prepared in MR. IRWIN's best style, was greatly enjoyed.
 
The following ably assisted MR. IRWIN in serving the supper:
 
MRS. J. HARRISON and MISS MOORE.
 
After supper the tables were cleared, and a smoking concert was held in the lodge-room.  MR. H. WILSON occupying the chair.  The following programme was gone through:

The Singing of "God Save the Queen" by the company at twelve o'clock brought a very pleasant evening to a close.  MR. JOYCE of Whitehaven, ably presided at the piano, and accompanied the singing.
