SUPPER AND SMOKING CONCERT AT DISTINGTON. A supper and smoking concert was held at the Hope and Anchor Inn, on Friday night in connection with the Prospect Villa A.F.C. A large number turned up, and a capital supper, prepared in MR. IRWIN's best style, was greatly enjoyed. The following ably assisted MR. IRWIN in serving the supper: MRS. J. HARRISON and MISS MOORE. After supper the tables were cleared, and a smoking concert was held in the lodge-room. MR. H. WILSON occupying the chair. The following programme was gone through: Song, "Kiss, Kiss", MR. WALKER Song, "The Song that reached my heart", MR. JOYCE Song, "Hearts of Oak", MR. WILSON Song, "Come back to me", MR. J. KIRKPATRICK Song, "All the way from Tynemouth, Oh", MR. NELSON Song, "Mass in the cold, cold ground", (encored) "Kathleen, MR. JOYCE Song, "As your hair grows whiter", MR. S. STEWART Song, "There's bound to be a row", MR. WILSON Song, "The convict", MR. WALKER Song, "True till death", MR. KIRKPATRICK Song, "Golden Wedding", MR. WALKER; Address, MR. BUCHANAN; Song, "Complaints on the ills of life", MR. WILSON Song, "Has your mother gone to bed", MR. M'LENNAN Song, "Umpha", MR. JOYCE Step Dance, MR. MESSENGER Song, "Only half-a-crown", MR. WALKER Song, " I ain't a going to tell", MR. KIRKPATRICK Duet, "The old banjo", MESSRS JOYCE AND WALKER The Singing of "God Save the Queen" by the company at twelve o'clock brought a very pleasant evening to a close. MR.
