Military Force - Ireland

There has not been so large a military force on the Irish establishment for the last 16 years as at the present time. The garrison of Dublin alone musters upwards of 4,600 men, consisting of four regiments of infantry, five companies of rifles, three regiments of cavalry, besides a brigade of artillery, horse and foot.
