Band of Hope Excursion. W COCKBAIN, 57 Senhouse-street, Maryport, intends closing his shop on Wednesday June 28th at one o’clock pm. Grand Amateur Bicycle and Foot-racing will be held at Aspatria on Saturday June 24th, when £20 will be given in prizes………W J QUAIL, Hon Secretary, Station Villa, Aspatria. Notice – Mr William GIBSON, watchmaker and jeweller, begs to announce that he has removed to 28 John-street, next door to the Royal Oak Inn, where his business will be carried on as heretofore.

John HARDY, in returning thanks to the neighbourhood for their kind patronage and support during the time he has been in business, takes this opportunity of informing his friends and the public generally that he has extended his business by opening a branch shop in Senhouse-street (adjoining Crone and Company, Outfitters), under the management of Mr Isaac SCOTT, and hopes by offering a First-class Article, at the Lowest possible price, to merit a continuance of public patronage. Buttermere Blue Slates and Whinney Howe Dark Blue Slates. These slates can now be promptly supplied, in large or small quantities. The Buttermere Green Slates obtained the First Prize at the Great International Exhibition, London, 1862, and are well known for colour, fineness, and durability. The Whinney Howe Slates, better known as "North Country", are of a dark blue colour, and can be recommended for parties desiring this class of Slate.
