The trainer to W. R. RAMSAY, Esq., of Barnton, M.P.; one day last week shot a very fine specimen of the golden eagle, a rare bird in this country, at the Yellow Mires, betwixt Aberlady Bay and the rock called the Old Maid, about seven miles from the Bass Rock.  The eagle measured, from point to point of the wings, seven and a half feet; from the bill to the end of the tail, three feet; and round the smallest part of the leg, three inches.
