ANNIVERSARY OF THE CUMBERLAND BARD. -- On New Year's night a number of the admirers of the late Robert ANDERSON, sat down to an abundant and excellent supper, in commemoration of his natal day, at the house of Mr. Richard DUNCAN, Temperance Hotel, English Street, Carlisle. After supper, the chairman, Mr. RAYSON, read an essay on the writings of Mr. ANDERSON. The temperance glee club added much to the festivity of the scene, by singing a number of favourite glees. The entertainment prepared for the occasion did great credit to Mr. and Mrs. DUNCAN.
