INCENDIARISM EXTRAORDINARY. -- At Maidstone assizes, on Monday week, Job LAUTENCE, a child seven years of age, was tried for setting fire to a stack of wheat, the property of Thomas GILLOW, a farmer, at Wednesborough, on the 24th October.  The boys in the neighbourhood had been making bonfires; the prisoner was detected immediately after he had set fire to the stack; and he did not deny it.  According to the recommendation of the judge, the jury acquitted the prisoner, on the ground that his tender years, added to a weakness in his intellect, made him not properly accountable for his actions.
