                         RED ROSE.
 
    At Carlisle on Saturday.  Result:-- Shadd-
ongate United, 2 goals; Carlisle Red Rose,
1 goal.

    WORKINGTON  v.  BLACK DIAMONDS.
 
    At Workington, on Saturday.  Lively play
ruled from the start.  The opening ex-
changes being of an exciting nature and
both goal keepers were severely tested.
After twenty minutes play ANDY scored
for Workington.  On the resumption after
the interval MADDEN added a second
after taking the ball threequarters the
length of the field.  Near time JAMES
scored the Diamonds only goal.  An in-
teresting game resulted:--Workington,
2 goals; Black Diamonds, 1 goal.
